In English, we use different types of "punctuations" as follows:

(1) Full-stop　(句號) - " . "
) t3 B; f1 `) L5 ?& B' {We put "full-stop" at the end of a sentence.
我們會在句子的最尾加上句號。
: M- T& L/ p" DWe may also put "full-stop" after specific words like "Mr.", "Mrs." or "Dr."

We put "comma" in a sentence to separate different parts of it.

0 c9 w: ~* n' gWe put "question mark" at the end of a question.
我們會在問題句的最後加上問號。

(5) Inverted commas　(引號) - " 　　"  or　'　　'
8 H' M+ }# a* X+ bWe use "inverted commas" to quote specific words spoken by someone.
我們用引號來特別指出特定的字。

We use this punctuation to express that a thing belongs to a certain person or some people.
我們用這個標點符號來表示一個東西是屬於某人或某些人的。

(7) Colon　(冒號) - " : "
We use "colon" to express some examples.

(8) Semi-colon　(分號) - " ; "
" B' f' C9 _" ^& t8 \We can use "semi-colon" to separate two short sentences which have similar meanings.

( P3 i# V0 F" D6 ZWe use "dash" in a sentence to emphasize an explanation or a part of a sentence.
